Lorna McGovern Doran Ballykillavane, Glenealy, Co. Wicklow

29th September 2024.

Who passed away peacefully and in comfort surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of St Columcille’s Hospital Loughlinstown. Predeceased by her beloved husband Frank, and sisters Olive and Patricia. Cherished Mother to her daughter Nessa, loving grandmother to her three grandchildren Dylan, Trinity and Michael. Born 1941, later became an exemplary nurse, and devoted 40 years of her life to patient care in Ireland, UK and the US. Trained in Broadgreen Liverpool University Hospital before she pursued a career in New York, she worked several years in Jewish Memorial Hospital. Returned home with her daughter, worked in St Vincent’s Hospital afterwards most of her career was spent in St Columcille’s Hospital. Sadly missed by her sisters Ann Haran, Margo Collins and brother Peter McGovern and his wife Eva. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, relatives, former colleagues and friends.

Funeral Mass Wednesday morning at 11.00am (2nd October) in St. Joseph’s Church Glenealy Co. Wicklow,

followed by Cremation Service in McCrea’s Cremation Chapel, Dublin Road, Wicklolw Town (A67E003) at 12.30pm for all those who wish to attend.

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff in the Beacon Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Hubert and Jean. Beloved husband and best friend of Adrienne and loving Dad to Emma, Sinead and Paul. Sadly missed by his loving wife, his children and their partners Sean and Sophie, his grandchildren Eirinn, Felicity, Lyra , Sanna and Oona, his brother Paul and sisters Catherine and Joan, sisters in Law, brothers in law, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Patricia “Olive” Synnott (née Featherstone), St Patrick’s Road, Wicklow, Co Wicklow.

21st September 2024.

Olive was predeceased by her husband Jim, and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by children Paul, Noel, Clare and Sarah, daughters-in-law Ann-Marie and Mary, son-in-law Pakie, and grandchildren Rachel, Eva, Nathan, Hannah and Jamie, extended family, relatives and friends.

Beloved husband of the late Kathleen (Née Wynne), loving father to Tony, Ann Marie and Joe. Colm passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, whilst in the wonderful care of all the staff at Knockrobin Hill Care, Nursing Home. Beloved husband to Martha, loving father to Aidan, Patrick, Colm and Joseph. Sadly missed by his children, daughter-in-laws Ciara, Mairead and Deirdre, adored grandchildren Chris, Conor, Hannah, Sorcha, James, Ailbhe, Ronan and David. His sister Marie and remembering also late siblings Paddy, Monica, Doreen, Eileen, Joan, Claire, Patricia, Kevin and Bridget.

Henry Hubbard of St Dominic’s Road Wicklow Town and formerly of Sheringham, Norfolk, England who passed away peacefully in his 85th year surrounded by his loving family at St Vincent’s University Hospital. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Margaret for 65 years. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, sister Ann, extended family and friends.

John Goodman of Wicklow Town who passed away on Wednesday 4th September 2024 peacefully with his family at Wicklow Hospice. Predeceased by his wife Evelyn (née Dover), and siblings Molly and Rodney. Remembered with love by his son John, daughter Lynda, grandchildren Ellie and Joshua, siblings Margaret, Marie, Kathy, Elizabeth and David, daughter in law Joanne, son in law Mark, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Patrick ‘Sting’ Kavanagh 2 St Laurences Road, Wicklow Town

2nd September 2024.

Passed away peacefully at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin surrounded by his loving family. Sadly missed by his loving wife Trish, son Eddie and his partner Nikkie, son Patrick and his partner Shaunna, daughter Christine and son in law Keith and his seven grandchildren, Tara, Nathan, Cara, Nadia, Tia, Calvin and Oisín. Also missed by his younger brothers, Billy, James, Terry, Bren, Nicky and Johnny and his sisters in law, nieces, nephews extended family, and all who knew and loved him.
