Florence (Flor) McCarthy, St. Mantans Close, Wicklow Town.

Florence (Flor) passed away suddenly but peacefully on Wednesday 26th February 2025 at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. Loving husband of Ann, beloved Dad of Miriam, Emer and Diarmuid, adored Grandad of Polly, Patrick and Laoise. Sadly missed by his brother Billy, his sons in law Stuart and Raul, his daughter in law Gemma, his extended family Cathal and Elaine, their children Harry, Charlie and Amelia, his neighbours, and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Flor will repose in the family home at St. Mantans Close, Wicklow this Monday evening March 3rd from 4.00pm to 8.00pm.

Funeral cortège leaving the family home at 9:30am on Tuesday morning and then proceeding at walking pace (via Hopkins Hill and the Main Street) to St. Patrick’s Church, Wicklow arriving for 10.00am Funeral Mass, which can also be viewed by clicking on Flor’s Funeral Mass ,

followed by a private Cremation Ceremony for family only.

Jonathan (Johnny) Murphy Rathnew. Co Wicklow,

24th February 2025.

Johnny (Jonathan) passed unexpectedly at home, beloved husband of Sally (Vola), loving father of Aaron, Leo and Emily Sadly missed by his wife, children, his heartbroken mother Trisa and her partner David Connoly, his dad John, sisters Clarice, Caoimhe and Doireenn, brothers Finn, David and Sean, nieces, nephews, especially Arlo, his extended family and friends.

Jonathan will be reposing this Friday afternoon 28th February at his mothers home in Roundwood (A98TD63), from 4.00pm to 8.00pm. Removal Saturday to McCrea’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Wicklow Town (A67E003) for a 11.00am Funeral Service for all those who wish to attend.

For those unable to attend the Service can be viewed by clicking on McCrea’s Cremation Chapel (viewing at time of service only). Followed by interment in Rathnew Cemetery.

Stan J. O’Reilly of The Bank Rathnew and formerly Main Street, Wicklow Town who passed away on Tuesday 25th February 2025 unexpectedly but peacefully at his home. Predeceased by his parents Edmund and Cis O’Reilly. Dearly loved husband and soul mate of Maeve and loving brother of Tom and Vincent. Sadly missed by his wife and brothers, sisters in law Anna and Helen, nephews and nieces, Edmund, Thomas, Gavin, Yvonne and Amelia, and by his grand nephews and nieces Thomas, Brion, Kevin, Emmet, Liam, Oisín, Rory, Ciara, Olivia and Seán, extended family, many friends and his faithful companion Roxy.

Stan will repose at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk in Wicklow Town from 2pm until 5pm on Sunday. Funeral cortège arriving to the Market Square on Monday morning at 9.30am and then proceeding at walking pace to St Patrick’s Church arriving for 10am funeral Mass followed by a private cremation passing his home at the Bank Rathnew.

It is with broken hearts the Stone family announce the tragic passing of their beautiful son and brother, Brendan, in his 19th year on Friday 21st February 2025. Brendan, adored son of Peter and Patsy, loving brother to Aoibhin, Malachy, Roisin, Moira, Fainche and Diarmuid. Predeceased by his grandparents, Malachy Stone and Rosanna and Patrick Dunne. Brendan will be forever missed by his heartbroken parents, brothers, sisters, grandmother Pauline, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours, sporting colleagues and wide circle of friends.

May Brendan’s gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at the family home (A67 TX63) on Thursday 27th February from 2pm with Rosary at 7.30pm.

Removal on Friday morning to St. Mary’s Church, Barndarrig (A67 K282) for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm after which Brendan will be laid to rest in Barndarrig Cemetery.

Mary Malone (née Jameson) St. Patrick’s Valley, Wicklow Town

February 21st, 2025.

Peacefully in her ninety-first year in the presence of her loving family and the caring staff of Knockrobin Hill Care Home, Wicklow. Mary is predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas (Tom) and her loving son Owen. She will be dearly missed by her devoted daughter Gail, sons Paul, Glenn and Neil, and sister Peggy.She will be forever remembered with love by her son-in-law Eamonn, daughters-in-law Jill, Valerie, Suzanne and Colette, her adored grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family and neighbours.

James (Jimmy) Crean of Ballyvolan Newcastle, Co. Wicklow who passed away on Thursday 20th February 2025 peacefully at St James’ Hospital. Son of the late Jack and Martha Crean and brother of the late Jackie, Sheila and Maura and much loved brother of Theresa, Eileen, Bridget, Maggie, Patsy, Willie, Eddie, Kevin and Sean. He will be sadly missed by his sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Who passed away peacefully at her home in her 89th year. Surrounded by her loving family.Beloved and loving wife of the late James Collard R.I.P. Predeceased by her brothers Michael R.I.P. , Robert R.I.P. and great grandchild Odin R.I.P. Mary Byrne of Glenview Road, Wicklow Town who passed away on Monday 10th February 2025 peacefully in the loving care of the Aisling Nursing Home, Arklow. Cathy Flynn née O’Brien of St Laurence’s Road, Wicklow Town and formerly of Seaview Cottages, Redford, Greystones who passed away on Thursday 6th February 2025 peacefully at St Vincent’s University Hospital. Predeceased by her beloved husband John, sister Margaret and grandson Jack. Much loved mother of John, Paul, Sharon, Thomas, Noel and Katherina. Sadly missed by her loving family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother Maurice, extend family and friends.

Dearly loved daughter of the Late R.F. and Kathleen Conway, predeceased by her sister, Mary Tobin, her brothers John and Frank. Deeply regretted by her loving brother, Liam and sister Jo (Buttle), sister in law Christine, brother in law Peter. Will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand- nephews.

Peter Porter Ballinalea Ashford, Formerly Avondale, Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow.

Peter passed away peacefully after a short illness on Monday, 3rd February 2025 in his 79th year, in the compassionate care of the staff at St. Vincent’s Hospital surrounded by his heartbroken wife Margaret and loving family. Deeply missed by his loving wife Margaret, his beloved sons Peter, Darren, Michael and daughter Edel, son-in-law and daughters-in-law. Will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, extended family and friends.

Peter will be reposing at McCrea’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Wicklow Town (A67E003) on this Wednesday 5th February from 5.00pm to 8.00pm.

Removal to the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Ashford, on Thursday 6th arriving for 11.30 am Funeral Mass (walking from Ashford House) followed by interment in Rathnew Cemetery.
