CURLEY (Patrick), Blainroe, Co. Wicklow, March 18th 2020 (peacefully) following a prolonged illness, in the loving care of the wonderful staff of the Blainroe Lodge Nursing Home. Paddy, deeply missed by his loving wife Joan, sons John and Paul; daughters-in-law Hillary and Julie; his much loved grandchildren Laura, Ben, Dan, Harry and Lily; great-grandaughter Isabelle; brother Michael; sister-in-law Deirdre, nephew and nieces, together with his extended family and friends.

Our family would request that in light of the current national crisis and in order to reduce the risk to Mum, those, ( other than immediate family) , that wish to celebrate Paddy’s life would refrain from attending the service in person and would join Paddy’s Funeral Service, using the live streaming feature on the Wicklow Parish Website instead ( www.wicklowparish.ie click on ” see more ” in the ” live services ” section) The Funeral Service will take place at 1.00 pm this Saturday 21st March. We understand the desire to sympathise with and support our family at this time, therefore Once the current crisis has passed, our family will arrange a memorial service for Dad.

Breffni Carroll (Dunbur Terrace, Wicklow Town) 12th March 2020, peacefully at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. Loving son of the late Joe and Mai Carroll. Sadly missed by his loving partner Viviana, children Rose and Rex, brother Gavin, sister Melissa, extended family, relatives and many friends.

Joseph (Joey) Kelly late of Darragh Park, Wicklow Town who passed away Thursday, 5th March 2020, peacefully at his son John’s home at Rath, Lorrha, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. Dearly loved husband of the late Julia Ann (née Corkish) and much loved and loving father of Theresa, John and the late Christopher. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, grandchildren Dean, Jason and Caoimhe, great-grandchildren Luke and Pippa, son-in-law Benny, John’s partner Lorraine, brothers, sisters, extended family and friends.

Joey will repose at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk in Wicklow Town from 6pm until 8pm on Friday.

Removal on Saturday from the funeral home at 1.15pm at walking pace to St. Patrick’s Church arriving for Funeral Mass at 1.30pm followed by interment in Rathnew Cemetery.

Edward Kelly (Ocean View, Wicklow Town) 27th February 2020, peacefully at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. Loving father of the late Jonathan. Sadly missed by his loving wife Breda, sons Eddie, David and Philip, daughters Amanda and Catherina, brothers Johnny and Michael, sister Ann, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

Maria Dunne (née Doyle) Strand Street, Wicklow Town, passed away peacefully on the 29th February, 2020. Loving wife of the late John, beloved mother of Nigel and Alan, sadly missed by daughters-in-law Linda and Jenny and cherished grandmother to Logan. Fondly remembered by sisters Nuala and Cissie, brother Thomas, exceptional sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family, friends and neighbours. Predeceased by her sisters and brothers.

Maria will be reposing at McCrea’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Wicklow Town (A67 E003) Monday evening from 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Removal Tuesday morning at 9.15 am from Strand Street to proceed walking to St. Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town, arriving for 10.00 am Funeral Mass followed by interment in Rathnew Cemetery. Gillian Stanley (nee Byrne) aged 51, of Bishops Stortford Hertfordshire England, and formerly of 53 Dunbur Park, Wicklow Town who passed away on Thursday February 6th 2020 after a short illness. Much loved daughter of Jimmy and Terry Byrne and devoted and loving mother to Ethan, Lauren and Ria. Loving sister to Jennifer, Karen, Joanne and Derek and the late Jackie. Sadly missed by her loving son, daughters, father, mother, brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Gillian will repose at Daniel Robinson and Sons Funeral Directors, 79-81 South Street, Bishops Stortford, CM23 3AL on Monday, 24th February, from 2pm until 5pm and Tuesday, 25th February, from 10am until 12 noon. Funeral procession departing on Tuesday, 25th February, from Patmore Close, Bishops Stortford at 2pm to GreenAcres Epping Forest, Kiln Road, North Weald, Bassett, Epping CM16 6AD arriving for a cremation service at 3pm.

Gillian’s Funeral Mass in Ireland will take place at 11am on Saturday, March 7th, at St. Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town, followed by interment at Rathnew Cemetery.  If you would like to attend, we kindly ask that you wear something colourful, preferably green as this was Gillian’s favourite colour.

Ann McDonald (née McGraynor) Seaview Heights, Rathnew and formerly Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow, who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and friends on Saturday, 8th February 2020. Sadly missed by her loving husband Tom, daughter Deirdre, son Thomas, brothers, sisters, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren Graínne, Jasmine and Eiméar, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

Bernadette Murphy of Marlton Road Wicklow Town and late of RTE, who passed away in her 86th year, peacefully, on Thursday 6th February 2020, in the care of the Blainroe Lodge Nursing Home. Sadly missed by her loving brother Noel, sisters Catherine (Tramore) and Teresa (London), extended family and friends.

Liam (Billy) O’Mahony of Bray, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Dromcollogher, Co. Limerick and Friar’s Hill, Wicklow Town died on 6th February, 2020, peacefully, in his 89th year, at St. Michael’s Hospital, Dun Laoghaire, with his family by his side. Predeceased by his sister Joan (Cleary) and brother Gerard. Sadly missed by his loving family, Rosa (née Carr) his wife of 60 years, sons Eamonn (USA), Paul (London) and John (London), daughter-in-law Lisa, granddaughter Kara, sister Kathleen (Frawley), sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Monday, 10th February, from 5.00pm to 7.00pm with prayers at 6.30pm. Removal from the funeral home on Tuesday, 11th February, at 11.30am to the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Putland Road, Bray arriving for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon followed by burial in Rathnew Cemetery, Co. Wicklow.

Marie Forde née Smullen of Dunbur Close, Wicklow Town who passed away suddenly at her home on February 4th 2020. Predeceased by her parents Jimmy and Lil Smullen. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Frank, son Frank, daughter Elisha and her partner Alan, grandson Luke, brothers Sean, Gerry, Larry, Declan and Lenny, sister in law Kathleen, brother in law Jim and by her close friends Linda and John, extended family and friends.
