Christopher (Christy) Doyle of Ashford and formerly Kilmacanogue, Kilcoole and Barndarrig who passed away on Saturday 30th November 2024 peacefully but unexpectedly at his home. Lorna McGovern Doran Ballykillavane, Glenealy, Co. Wicklow

Who passed away peacefully and in comfort surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of St Columcille’s Hospital Loughlinstown. Predeceased by her beloved husband Frank, and sisters Olive and Patricia. Cherished Mother to her daughter Nessa, loving grandmother to her three grandchildren Dylan, Trinity and Michael. Born 1941, later became an exemplary nurse, and devoted 40 years of her life to patient care in Ireland, UK and the US. Trained in Broadgreen Liverpool University Hospital before she pursued a career in New York, she worked several years in Jewish Memorial Hospital. Returned home with her daughter, worked in St Vincent’s Hospital afterwards most of her career was spent in St Columcille’s Hospital. Sadly missed by her sisters Ann Haran, Margo Collins and brother Peter McGovern and his wife Eva. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, relatives, former colleagues and friends.
