Peacefully in the kind care of the staff at St Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin. Beloved wife of the late Paddy, loving mother of Seamus, Padraic, Carina (Traynor), Eilis (Grumley) and Mairead. Sadly missed by her loving children, daughters-in-law Geraldine and Meave, sons-in-law Ronan and Graham, adored grandchildren, great grandchildren, her sister Betty, brothers Sean, Eamon and Henry, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May she rest in eternal peace.

Alice will be reposing this Thursday 16th January in McCreas Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Wicklow Town, (A67EOO8) from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Removal Friday morning 17th January to St Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town arriving for 10.00am Funeral Mass, which can also be viewed on by clicking on Alice’s Funeral Mass followed by interment in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Arklow.

Monica Dickenson 8th January 2025 Formerly of Glenview Road, Wicklow Town

Passed away peacefully in the loving care of the Staff at Beechwood Nursing Home, Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow.

Monica will be sadly missed by her daughter Sharon Shortall and son Alan McSweeney (Castlecomer), sisters Beth and Ella, grandchildren Nicola, Emma, Muireann and Eoghan, great grandchildren, Caoimhe, Oisin, Caoilainn and Aishling, son-in-law Maurice, daughter-in-law Marie, brothers-in-law Peter Mellor and James Conroy, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Reposing at Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlecomer (R95 AK38) on Friday 10th January from 5pm, concluding with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 7pm.

Removal from Coady’s Funeral Home on Saturday morning at 11am to St. Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town (A67 AE37) for Requiem Mass at 2pm. Monica will be laid to rest thereafter in Rathnew Cemetery.

John passed away on Monday 6th January, 2025, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin – Loving husband of Rita and much loved father of Myrtle, Helen, Tommy, Noirin, Rita, Ian, Aileen and John. Sadly missed by his son in laws, daughter in law, 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, his sister Patricia, his nieces and nephews and his extended family and friends.Predeceased by his parents Tommy and Barbara and his sister June.

Bid passed away peacefully in St Colman’s Hospital Rathdrum with family by her side in her 92nd year on Saturday 28th December 2024. Predeceased by her loving husband Patrick (Paddy)and siblings Mick, Tom, Jean, Kathleen, Frances, Jim and Noel. She shall be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family and friends.

Resting at Flannery’s Funeral Home Bachelors Walk, Wicklow Town on Monday evening from 6pm until 8pm. Funeral arriving to St Joseph’s Church, Rathnew on Tuesday morning (New Years Eve) for 11.30am funeral Mass followed by interment in Rathnew Cemetery.
