Parish Religious Education Programme - Parishes of Wicklow, Ashford & KBB

First Holy Communion

This is a 2 year programme. Classes are on Tuesday at 3.20pm – 4pm in the De La Salle Pastoral Centre. There is a family mass each Sunday at 10am in St. Patrick’s Church Wicklow. Children preparing for their First Holy Communion will be invited to take part in these masses.

Midterm breaks and school holidays will run the same as the general school calendar. A text message will be sent in the unlikely event of a class having to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Confirmation

This is a 2 year programme. Classes are on Tuesday at 4.10pm – 5pm in the De La Salle Pastoral Centre. The 6pm mass on a Saturday night in St. Patrick’s Church Wicklow is a folk mass and once a month the children preparing for their Confirmation will be invited to take part.

Midterm breaks and school holidays will run the same as the general school calendar. A text message will be sent in the unlikely event of a class having to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Cost

1st class: €100 which includes tuition and books
2nd class: €100 which includes tuition and books
5th class: €100 which includes tuition and books
6th class: €100 which includes tuition and books

There is a reduction in fees for 2 or more siblings of the same family.

Payment can be made in cash or by cheque – cheques can be made payable to: De La Salle Pastoral Centre.

Please make sure to bring a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate in the case of your child being baptised outside of the St. Mantan Pastoral Area.

Enrolment

Enrolments take place in the Parish Office, Wicklow from Monday 9^th to Friday 13^th September from 9:30am to 12:30pm and also on Thursday 12^th from 2:30pm to 4pm. If your child was baptised outside the pastoral area, please bring a copy of their baptismal certificate.
